Botanical Beauties

Hello again!
Well, today is my birthday so I thought I would share a birthday card with you today :) I've used a wonderful new set of dies for this card, along with a free stamp. Yes you heard right...FREE

These are the Botanical Builder Framelits...aren't they fabulous?! There is so much potential for these! :) I cut the flowers out from Daffodil Delight card and inked them with Pumpkin Pie ink and a Sponge Dauber. The leaves are Always Artichoke and I used the matching stamp set, Botanical Blooms, to stamp the veins on them.

Now remember me mentioning the free stamp? Well the sentiment is from that set, which is Sky Is The Limit. I love how the sentiment makes it useful for girly cards as well as man cards!

It's one of the Sale-a-Bration stamp sets and you can get it free simply by placing an order of £45! For more details, click on the link over there on the right>>>

This is what I used...

Right I'm off for a day out...enjoy your crafting and see you soon!

Vintage banners

Hello and a huge hello to another 2 wonderful followers, Regina and Jill...I hope you enjoy visiting from time to time!

Today I have a little reminder of my Frugal Friday challenge. Since I got back from Telford on Sunday night I have been completing a wedding stationery order so I haven't had much time for other crafting. Unfortunately I can't show you the finished product just now, but I had an awful lot of offcuts and so in true frugal fashion, I decided to see what I could do with them!

Here is a picture of the bits...

Isn't that paper stunning? It Springtime Vintage and is printed from MDS would you believe, on just a home printer! The quality really is amazing!

So here is what I made with some of the bits...

First of all the sentiment is from Feel Goods, and I stamped it in Rose Red and Always Artichoke, then die cut with one of the Labels Collection Framelits.

I trimmed a few bits of the DSP into banners and added them to the card before adding the sentiment panel popped up on Dimensionals. I finished with the little bit of Crochet Trim.

You can order any of these items direct from my online shop, or if you prefer the personal touch, please do contact my. All my details and shop link are over on the right >>>>

As you can see, there are a lot of offcuts there...I think they will keep me going for a really long time! I hope to see you join my challenge...click here.

Have a lovely Tuesday!

Less is More colour challenge and the first Hostess Code!

Good morning LIMettes!
Oh this morning has not gone well! I got up to make my card, but then when I came to post it my computer decided to restart itself for updates...don't you just hate it when it does that?! Then when it did restart, for some reason Chrome had crashed and I couldn't get any internet at all, so I had to restart my lappy again! Anyway, here I am now! :) The day can only get better right? ;)

Ok so this week the challenge at Less Is More is a colour one, and the colours are

DARK GREEN and RUST

So here is my offering...

Now I really liked Jen's card, so I admit it...I cased it! I used two of the lovely hostess sets; Simply Sketched for the image and Morning Meadow for the sentiment.

I used Cajun Craze and Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Markers and blended the colour on the little birdie with a Blender Pen.

I have a fantastic and very easy way for you to earn these stamp set yourself, without having to spend £150 all by yourself.

I have a Virtual Hostess code that you can use when you place your order, valid for one week only, but after that week, I will draw one of you lovely customers to be the hostess and earn all the freebies, including the EXCLUSIVE hostess items! The more orders I get, the more hostess benefits!

So this week's code is

MAXYUMSP

Simply enter the code at checkout in my store (make sure my name is in the top right corner) and you will be entered to be the hostess for the week! The code is valid until midnight next Friday 13th September, so get in there and don't miss out!!

Thanks for coming to visit today...see you soon! :)

The ribbon is the lush Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and the sentiment was computer generated.

A Secret Garden

Hello!
I have another card here from Sunday's craft session with Jen...

I have used the stunning Secret Garden stamps and Framelits bundle...I love this and I think it's going to get a lot of mileage!

To colour the flower, I tried a new technique...I was having a bit of an experiment with colouring to see what effects I could come up with! For this one, I used the plastic sheet from my Stamp-a-Majig and coloured some Cherry Cobbler marker onto it. I then dipped one of the Blender Pens into the ink and brushed it onto the flower. I continued this way, adding more colour to the darker areas for shading and depth. I think it's very effective and quite realistic looking.

I stamped the leaves in Always Artichoke and stamped again for a lighter set. I used my Paper Piercing set again to decorate the edge of my white panel before matting onto a Pool Party panel. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiment set, stamped in Always Artichoke.

Products used
Cardstock - Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Pool Party
Ink - Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler
Stamps - Secret Garden, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Framelits - Secret Garden
Other - Paper Piercing Essentials Pack, Blender Pens

If you would like to get your hands on this stunning set, or anything else Stampin' Up!, please do get in touch on 07915 698577 or email me on lizyshouseofcards@mail.com
