Golden Wedding

Good evening!
I got an order for a 50th wedding anniversary last Saturday, so I have spent the last 4 hours or so making it! And here it is....

The picture is the happy couple's wedding picture, which I photographed, as I find it clearer than photocopying.
The background paper is Pink Petticoat, mounted on gold Mirri, and I distressed the edges with Tim Holz Vintage Photo. I cut the letters and the number 50 with my Craft Robo (not used it in ages!) The ivy is Marianne, Martha Stewart butterflies, ribbon, lace and flowers and doily are from my stash. I have also decorated the inside......
Sorry it's sideways...it's not on my laptop but for some reason it's rotating itself when I insert it in here! The inside has some wording about the wedding day, and a copy of the wedding breakfast menu.
All this has been compiled on an A4 scalloped card blank. Not sure where from...Jen gave them me ages ago!

The Sweet Stop - #143 (I hope I haven't taken the sketch too far...)

Ok time to chill and catch up on Stella and Take Me Out! ;)

Birthday Fishes!

Hey again!
Here is the card I have made for Jen for her Birthday on Wednesday......don't worry......she's seen it!

I forgot to take the photo's before I wrote in it! Anyway, anyone who knows Jen knows that she is an avid scuba diver, so I decided to make a card based around that theme! The idea is that the scene inside the card is being viewed through the goggles of the diver, hence the frame of the goggles being inside the card. The coral reef is a freebie from Meljen Designs and coloured with Promarkers, and the goggles and fish are from Google images. I covered the fish with Glossy Accents and sprinkled with a little Butterfly Trails glitter for some underwater sparkle! The lettering was cut out using my Craft Robo and coloured with the old Promarkers too!

Jen liked it.....hope you do too! I am entering it into A Spoonfull of Sugar's Splish Splash challenge.

Second Butterfly

Good evening LIMettes!
I am feeling much more refreshed today, thanks for your wishes :)  I think it will be a couple of weeks before I am 100%, but I'm getting there! :)

Anyway, over the last week I was reminded that I had £5 worth of free downloads on Crafts U Print from when they had their upgrade. So I went for a wander over there and found some wonderful Craft Robo files, one of which has provided the focal point for this card......

These really are fantastic files and anyone who has a Craft Robo, or any other electrical die cutting machine should go take a look at them! Anyway, this is a 2 layer butterfly, the bottom is solid and cut from purple pearlescent card, and the top 'lace effect' layer is cut from lilac pearlescent paper. I then curled each layer to give definition and attached them together to the card. I only stuck them in the middle so when the card is moved, the top wings 'flutter'......it's very effective!
The border is a Spellbinders (I think) and the sentiment was computer generated and then I glittered the first letters with Butterfly Trails. Finished with a few gems to link everything together and I'm quite pleased with the result! :D

Hope to get some more made this week so see you then!

Spring Flowers everywhere!

Here is my last post before I go to bed. I think my laptop needs some rest...it is going very slow tonight! I have made this card for the Spring Flowers everywhere challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts, and for my friend Jackie to give to her Nan for her 90th Birthday.
The papers are just some I got from the Paper Mill Shop, the ribbon is from Habiknit, the Daffodils are from Hobbycraft and I cut the wording and the age out on my Craft Robo. I love this card because it's so spring like and cheerful.

Good night and hope to see you tomorrow!

1st Birthday wishes

This card was made for a little girl's 1st birthday. The image is Rosie with Cake from Lili of the Valley and I coloured it with my trusty promarkers. I matted it with Nestabilities Labels Ten, added some ribbon, swirls and card candy and finished with the number 1 and her name, cut out with my Craft Robo. I have entered this card into A Spoon Full of Sugar Birthday Wishes challenge

Thanks for looking
