Crosses of Hope for a Christening

Hi everyone!
Well I know this is late...I actually had this card on the Sketch Saturday challenge blog in time, I just hadn't had time to blog it! Anyway, here is my DT card for this week's challenge. First the sketch...

I made my card for my friend's lovely daughter's Christening this past Sunday.

I used an old favourite stamp set, Crosses of Hope, as I love this particular cross from it! I embossed the background using the Lacy Brocade TIEF, and finished with some butterflies from Papillon Potpourri.

I heat embossed the cross with Silver Stampin' Emboss, then added it to my MDS generated sentiment, which I mounted onto a panel of Silver Glimmer Paper for a little sparkle.

Have you ever thought about joining Stampin' Up!? Well, I have some exciting news about an incredible offer for you tomorrow! So do pop back then to find out more!

Christening Tin

Good morning all!
If you were here yesterday you'll remember me mentioning a Christening tin I made for a friend, for her little boy's Christening today. Today, I'm going to show it you!

I have used an old baby milk tin for this and all Stampin' Up! products, albeit quite a few are now retired. It just goes to show that even the retired items all still very useful!

The peg is holding lots of little pieces of paper for guests to right their prayers and wishes on for little Harry. I punched them using the Artisan Label Punch.

The sentiment is from an old set called Crosses of Hope...still a frequently used set for me! You can still get the digital download of this set on MDS.

I used the Banner Punch for his name, Simply Stars for the decoration and Trefoil Cross for the main cross.

Here it is with the matching card I made yesterday...

If you would like to order any of the current items I have used, or would like to try MDS, please do click on my shop logo over on the right >>>>>>>>
Alternatively, you can contact me and I will be more than happy to place your order for you!

What are you up to today? I have church, Christening and dinner at Jen's...yay! Have a good one whatever you're doing!

A Pretty Baptism Card

Good morning!
We have another fab sketch for you over at Sketch Saturday, this time designed by Debra.

Isn't a fab sketch? I used it to design a Baptism card for a baby in our congregation at church.

I have used a lovely die for the cross and dusted it with chalk to give some subtle colour. I punched little flowers from the Bitty Punch set, chalked the bottom layer, and added a hole punched pink dot to the middle of each flower, finishing with Crystal Effects.

The ribbon is a retired Stampin' Up! one and the sentiment was created using MDS.

Crosses of Hope

Good morning!
I had such a lovely afternoon designing wedding invitations with Jen yesterday! I have 3, possibly 4 weddings to cater for this year, so it was nice to sit and play with different ideas and materials. One thing we did discover, Tombow glue, available from my online shop, is perfect for attaching vellum to anything! It is actually invisible! I can see a lot of it getting used in our future ventures!

Anyway, you probably want to see a card right? Ok well then I might just spoil you!

This set of pretty Easter Cards is made using the Crosses of Hope stamp set. Now I know the physical set is retired, but the digital version on MDS is still available for only £1.50, and the best thing is that you can resize them to whatever size you like!

I teamed the crosses (which I coloured with my Stampin' Write Markers) with the sentiment from Blessed Easter, available from the Spring/Summer catalogue and finished with two of the tiny butterflies from Beautiful Wings Embosslits. I love the coloured card blanks I used in these cards...they really give that touch of spring!

In the Frame (again)

Good morning!
Well what a disaster the rugby was! I only have one thing to say...gutted! :(

So, moving on....I had a lovely evening out with my girlies last night and got drenched coming home! But this morning I've woken to bright sunshine so I'm smiling :)

I do still have to go to work though so here is a quickie I made this morning for the Less Is More - Frame It challenge.

I have used Crosses of Hope and stamped in Regal Rose.

I stamped off the sentiment once before stamping onto the card to make it a little more subtle. I did stamp it directly onto the frame panel originally, but it didn't stamp quite right so I had to cover it! The butterfly is the bitty butterfly punch. I finished with a few tiny nail art gems.

Supplies
Stamps - Crosses of Hope
Ink - Regal Rose
Punch - Bitty Butterfly

If you would like to order any lovely Stampin' Up! products, please do contact me! I love making people smile, and I promise you'll be grinning from ear to ear if you make the most of the Sale-A-Bration deal!

Ok, I need to get going to church, then work...might be back later if I have time :)

It's all bright an sunny here again, although there is quite a heavy looking frost...nicer than rain though!

I am going to show you another of the Christening/Baptism cards I made yesterday.

I have used the Crosses Of Hope set again, and stamped it in Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose.

The embossed strip is left from yesterday's card, and I stamp my sentiment perfectly in place using my Stamp-a-Majig.

Christening card

Good evening!
I wasn't going to post this until tomorrow but I just notice the challenge at Freshly made sketches runs out shortly! So I had better get it linked up quickly!

I realised whilst on my stall at the weekend that I only have 2 christening/baptism cards left so I decided to make a few today, with my new Crosses of Hope set.

For this first one, I stamped the cross in embossing ink and embossed in white. I like the subtle effect. I embossed the panels either side and added some pink organza ribbon from my stash.

A close up of the cross...

It's tough to get a good photo of white on white embossing, but it's really pretty! I finished with the sentiment and some nailart gems.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Crosses Of Hope
Ink - Embossing, Pretty In Pink
Embossing Folder - Lacy Brocade

I would love to place an order for you...please contact me and I will be more than happy to help!
