Use it up - Week 8 update!

Hmmm...where to begin? 

Well...not done very well :(  It was Sincerely Yours at Leigh yesterday. I went with money to buy the 3 items I needed...card blanks, heart embossing folder and white embossing powder. Of course, we all know that that was just never going to be enough! Other than those 3 items, here is what I actually bought...

So that would be 4 packs of Vellum, one pack of paper, 6 packs of wire ribbon (very exciting stuff though!), a Bigz die, a rubber embossing mat, 2 other pots of embossing powder, and jewellery fixings for the wire ribbon! So I have come to the conclusion that I cannot be trusted at a craft show ever and if I haven't used all this stuff up by the end of the year, I shall ban myself from all future craft shows! 

On the up side, I didn't buy any stamps... 

Use It Up - Week 7 update!

Yes I know! I'm late with it lol! I have been too busy 'using it up' yo blog about it! ;)

Anyway, as you will have seen from my last post and the upcoming ones, I have been using every scrap of DP up on my cards. I have been using those annoying little bits that get left after all the matting and layering on the inside of my cards :) You see, when I mat and layer, I cut the hidden middle of the layers out to save paper...but of course I then end up with a load of bits! Well...no more! I have made 6 cards today, and here is a picture of the 'waste' I had left...

Not much eh?! And although I could throw it all out as there's not much, I'm a crafter...I just can't!! So there!

Right...off to find a use for these scraps....

Use It Up - Week 6 update!

Hello again!

As many of you know, I joined in with Use It Up 2012 at the beginning of this year. Well I hadn't realised that I was supposed to do an update on how I'm doing lol!

So here is my first update! I have not bought anything crafty this week...though I did buy some Saturated Canary images when they were in the sale a couple of weeks ago....

I have been using up quite a lot of already printed/stamped images rather than printing/stamping more, so I am very pleased with myself! I am also getting through all the scrap card and paper I had lying around, and even making card blanks out of some of it instead of buying more! 

So other than any blog prizes I win, and the Amazon vouchers I have, I am NOT buying anything crafty for a while! 

Oh and I have just been shopping Jen's Seam Binding stash so I don't have to buy any for a while! Thanks Jen! :)
