Simply Christmas

Evening!
Wow...5 cards in 2 days! LOL! This is one of the many I made at Jen's today...we had a very productive day...she was a real inspiration to me today! Thanks hun! :)

The sentiment stamp is one of Jen's - an Inkylicious one and I stamped it with Flitter Glu and glitter. The poinsettia is Marianne and the ribbon was Jens's too!

Ok...now off to see Skyfall! :))

First 5 pack Of Christmas Cards for 2012

Good morning!
Well I am back feeling very refreshed and ready to get on with crafting for my market after a fantastic weekend visiting very good friends in Holland! It was such a brilliant weekend, and I finally got chance to go inside a real, old fashioned, working windmill...something I have wanted to do for a long time!

Anyway, after dropping Keiran at school this morning, I came back and got straight into the craft room! Christmas cards were on the agenda this morning, and here is what I have made...
I have used Papermania Joyeux Noel papers, Marianne dies and some scrap ribbon from inside the shoulder of a shirt.

I am trying to come up with some designs for packs of cards, and so here is one pack of 5.
I quite like the simplicity of the cards, and they didn't take too long to make, once everything was prepared, so I might make a few packs in different colours and papers. It's a great way to use up some of the tonnes of DP I have lying around too!!

Challenges

Ok, I think I better get to work!
See you soon!

Sketch Saturday #224

Good morning!
It's time for our new weekly sketch at Sketch Saturday, and this week we are sponsored by

So here is the sketch...

...and my card...

I had to go for a CAS style card as I didn't have time to colour an image this week, due to last minute commissions etc. Quite simply, it's a Crafts Too embossing folder, I think, ribbon from Ladybug Crafts Ink, Marianne Butterfly, and Pink Petticoat sentiment.

CAS Christmas card

Good evening and happy Yorkshire Day!
I have had the most awesome day at Knowsley Safari park with my friend Emma, Keiran and his 2nd cousin Sophie...they have had so much fun together!

And here is a card I made last night, this time using sketch #22 from Retro Sketches

I have used the colours from the Dynamic Duos challenge this week which are
Now I know it's had to see the Crumb Cake, but it is there I promise! I originally stamped a fab Christmas tree (in Crumb Cake) on the card, but it was way too small and flat, so to rescue the card, I added a Marianne Die Cut tree over the top, allowing the stamped tree to show underneath. I finished with the scrap of ribbon, a snowflake charm, and some dark brown glitter.

Thanks for looking...I may see you tomorrow!

Less is More - 3!

Good morning LIMettes!
Thins morning, there is a fab challenge at Less Is More which is
The idea being to use 3 of something.
Ok, I admit, I did take some time to think about this one this morning, but mainly because I didn't think I have 3 snowflake dies...Here's my card...

I used 3 snowflake dies from a Marianne set (I think) and embossed them, then added Butterfly Trails glitter and Aurora Borealis gems and a sentiment that was free from a magazine last year.

Challenges

And done!
Ok...of to the gym, then shopping! :)
Have a fun weekend whatever you do :)

Ooh La La - Challenge #100! On The Move

Good evening everyone!
Well for the first time ever, I was late submitting a DT card :( Slap my hand...it will never happen again! No excuses, but I had such a hectic weekend, and was going to do it last night but I was so shattered I couldn't find a creative dribble anywhere in me!
So without further ado, here is the said card, for our challenge over at Ooh La La this week, where our theme is
ON THE MOVE

The image and papers are from the Boys To Men CD, the poinsettia is a Marianne die (I think) and I distressed the edges of the papers and the image with Vintage Photo and Stormy Sky distress inks.

Challenges

So come on over and see what the rest of the DT have to show you, and show us your fab creations! :)

It's time for a new challenge over at Crafting For All Seasons and this time it's
SHAPED CARDS
(not square or rectangle)

Our generous sponsores this week are

Prize - 3 Images

The Stamping Boutique

So here is my card...

I have used 'Birdcage' from The Stamping Boutique and used very little colouring. I just coloured over the branches and the bird with the free pencils that came in this month's Papercraft Inspirations. I then added a Papermania sentiment, a Marianne bird, some silver glitter and lots of bling!! I actually quite like all the bling...it really sparkles in real life!

Challenges

Ok...Mum and Dad will be here soon so bye for now!

Christmas Poinsettia

Good morning!
Here is another card for the Less Is More - Punches/Die Cuts Challenge. You'll be pleased to see that it's not another butterfly! ;)

This is using Marianne Large Poinsettia and Fern Leaf. I edged the Poinsettia with gold glitter, and the leaf with white Memento. The sentiment is computer printed and went over it with my Quickie Glue pen and finished with gold glitter. The sentiment shows up better IRL.

Right I'm now going to make some samples for Create & Craft for the new Ooh La La CD-ROM! :)

Yet Another Butterfly!

Good morning!
Here is another butterfly card for the Less Is More Die Cuts/Punches Challenge. I know...but I have so many lovely butterfly dies and it seems a shame not to use them lol!

Orange Seam Binding (that Jen gave me cos she didn't like it!), Marianne butterfly, Card Candi and card from my stash. Not as easy as it looks though...took ages to get the Seam Binding just right, and still not sure I did lol! This card is similar to one I made a while ago in yellow and brown, but I gave that one so I wanted to make another! I may do a few in different colours...

And as I am in the 'Use It Up' club...

Thanks for looking!

Golden Wedding

Good evening!
I got an order for a 50th wedding anniversary last Saturday, so I have spent the last 4 hours or so making it! And here it is....

The picture is the happy couple's wedding picture, which I photographed, as I find it clearer than photocopying.
The background paper is Pink Petticoat, mounted on gold Mirri, and I distressed the edges with Tim Holz Vintage Photo. I cut the letters and the number 50 with my Craft Robo (not used it in ages!) The ivy is Marianne, Martha Stewart butterflies, ribbon, lace and flowers and doily are from my stash. I have also decorated the inside......
Sorry it's sideways...it's not on my laptop but for some reason it's rotating itself when I insert it in here! The inside has some wording about the wedding day, and a copy of the wedding breakfast menu.
All this has been compiled on an A4 scalloped card blank. Not sure where from...Jen gave them me ages ago!

Challenges
The Sweet Stop - #143 (I hope I haven't taken the sketch too far...)

Ok time to chill and catch up on Stella and Take Me Out! ;)

Springtime Zing!

Good morning!
Well I feel like I crafted a marathon after another fab weekend crafting with Jen and Kim! I have had one of the most productive weekends ever! Here is the final card made yesterday.

This card is waayyy out of my comfort zone, but I am actually loving it! (I think!) The paper is one of Kim's, the middle ribbon is Jen's, the flowers, and the flowery ribbon round the edge are mine. As is the big butterfly which is a new Marianne Creatable.

Challenges
I think I might need a crafty break lol!
Off to work, see you soon!

Butterfly to Heaven

Hello!
I have had a busy day today. I offered to do the food for my friend Jackie's Nan's funeral tomorrow, so I have been shopping and made all the buffet for tomorrow, and also had time to make her a card, to help her through this difficult time. I have already sent one to the whole family, but I wanted to give her one, just for her.
Here it is......

You know, this card looks so much more gorgeous in real life! Anyway, this is my new, stunning Butterfly die from Marianne and I've been dying to use it! I have cut it out 3 times, once each in dark purple shimmer, lilac shimmer and vellum. I then layered them up and bejewelled it! I used the vellum just to tone the purple down a touch as it was very overpowering. I love the effect! :) The swirls in the corners of the card are the swirls that were cut from the wings of the butterfly. I added two heart gems to finish them off. You can't see here but I've used the reverse side of a linen card blank, so it has a very slight texture, but not as much as the right side.
I hoe you like it, and I hope it helps Jackie :)

Challenges

Right, off to work now....see you soon!

Always & Forever

Hello!
I hope everyone is having a nice relaxing, craft filled Sunday! :)
I have made 2 cards today, one of which is a DT card so can't show until Wednesday, but here is the other one.

This is an 8x8 card using one of the Lili Of The Valley squares, Love Letters paper, some gorgeous organza ribbon with flowers in between the two layers, my new Marianne Ivy Leaf, Martha Stewart Butterflies and pearls and flowers from my stash. The sentiment is Inkadinkado Wedding/Marriage. My two new Marianne Dies arrived in the post yesterday and I was itching to try them! More to come soon hopefully! :)

Challenges
Thanks for stopping by and see you soon with more using my new bits! :)

Joyous!

Good morning and happy Christmas Eve LIMettes!
Hope you're all ready for tomorrow? I am just about...just housework and food prep now! :)
Anyway, Chrissie and Mandi over at Less Is More have set us the challenge of creating a card with
JUST ONE WORD
so I wandered into my craft room with the intention of creating a computer generated sentiment, when I found this word sat on my desk...
I have been meaning to use it and neve got around to it, so I thought it would be perfect for today's challenge!
It is from Sizzix and the Poinsettia is Marrianne Creatables. I finished with a pearl and some clear gems.
Hope you like it!
Have a wonderful Christmas everyone, especially Chrissie & Mandi, and hope 2012 brings a fabulous year to you all! :)

Golfing on thin Ice!

 Happy Monday Morning everyone!
I'm here with my DT card for this fortnight's Ooh La La challenge which is
BINGO!
And here is my card......

I found the template for this card here, plus a stunning card made with the template!
Anyway, back to my card! The image and patterned paper is from Ooh La La's most recent CD-ROM - Festive Funnies. The artwork is by the very talented Doug Laird and the CD-ROM is totally full of fun Christmas images, as well as some cute ones!
I glittered the snow, made some background snowflake paper using Wild Rose Studio stamps and white ink. I finished with a couple of Marianne trees, Card Candi and some ribbon from my stash. I have used the middle row of the grid to create my card......Ribbon, Diecut, Sparkle.
Challenges
Cards For Men - It's Nearly Christmas
Charisma Cardz - Cutesy
Craft Your Passion - Let It Snow
Hope you like it! :)
