A smudgy Santa!

Hello again!
Ok this is a super quick post as I forgot to schedule one for our challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches this week!

I have used the lovely and traditional Santa's List stamp and some DSP from the Season Of Style stack.

I do love this stamp! He is stamped in Baked Brown Sugar and when I pick up the panel I realised it wasn't dry as I smudged a bit! Rather than throw it out, I rubbed my fingers gently over the image and picked up more colours, and 'distressed' the entire panel! :)

Here is our sketch for this week...

Please do come along and have a go! :)

See you tomorrow!

Pinkies Seasonal Catalogue Bloghop!

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Autumn/Winter Seasonal Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

We love comments, so please do tell us what you think!

If you have arrived from the lovely Clare's blog, then a huge welcome to you!

I have lots of the gorgeous new stamps, but I have chosen to show you this one today because I feel like I haven't seen it around blogland much and I think it needs showing off!

The stamp is the very lovely Santa's List, and I have coloured him with my Stampin' Write Markers and framed him with one of the lovely snowflake dies from the Festive Flurry Framelits.

I also used 2 of the gorgeous new Embossing Folders; Stylish Stripes and Pretty Print. The distressing was created using my distressing tool, Sponge Daubers and Crumb Cake ink. The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper
Stamp - Santa's List
Ink - Black Stazon, Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride
Embossing Folders - Stylish Stripes, Pretty Print
Ribbon - Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding
Dies - Festive Flurry, Circles Collection

I had intended to use some of the stunning new Designer Papers but I felt my card worked better without. I'm sure you will see lots of them from my fellow Pinkies throughout the blog hop though!

Speaking of which, it's time to move on to the very creative Kim's blog to see what she has created...you'll love it!

Numbers!

Good morning LIMettes!
Not sure I was going to manage to get up this morning as I was out with my friends last night, and Hels stayed over, but as I lost my phone last night I woke up worrying about where it might be. Turns out, it's in another friend, Elaine's car!

Anyway, the upshot is I'm up and about and ready to create! This morning at Less Is More, it's one layer challenge week, and this week the theme is

NUMBERS

Hmmmm....I don't have any number stamps, and since my printer is struggling to print on card I can't do a computer generated number. Plus, I have brand new Christmas stamps to play with! Yes, Christmas!! So here is my card, using a brand new Christmas stamp from the upcoming Autumn/Winter catalogue and my This 'n That Rotary Stamp...

I love this stamp...a true, traditional image of Santa! I simply stamped him, masked him off, then swiped Real Red ink over the background using a Sponge Dauber. I think this might end up being the first of a pack of cards!

If you would like a copy of the brand new Autumn/Winter catalogue which you can order from at the end of this month, please do contact me!

Right, I'm off out for a day in Southport with the girls! Have a lovely Saturday! :)
