NEW!! - Butterfly Basics

Good morning!
So have you got over the excitement of viewing not one, but 2 brand new catalogues yet??
I can tell you that I have so much new stash to play with that I hardly knew where to start! But I have had a little play and here is what I came up with...

I have used the gorgeous new Butterfly Basics stamp set, and matching Framelits for my card. And this stamp set is one of the first that is available in all 3 options...wood, clear mount and photopolymer! I went for photopolymer this time, for a change :)

I used Pear Pizzaz and Strawberry Slush for the stamping, using my Stampin' Write Markers to make the sentiment stand out. And isn't that sentiment just lovely??

Another exciting thing about this stamp set is that it is available as a bundle, which saves you a huge 15%!! And we all love matching stamps and Framelits with a discount right??!

A festival of bright trees!

Good morning all!
I had a wonderful delivery yesterday of lots of new Stampin' Up! goodies, which I would love to say I had time to play with, but I haven't as I still have some Christmas orders to fulfil! But rest assured, I will be playing before the end of the week! ;)

So today it's time for a new challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches, and as you know, we are re-visiting old challenges, and this week you get to choose any of our previous sketches. You can find them on the Archives page of the CAS blog.

I have used Sketch #65 this week...

So here is my card...

I have used the fabulous Festival of Trees stamp and matching punch set, inked in Bermuda Bay and Strawberry Slush. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and the embossing is the Decorative Dots EF...doesn't it look like snow??

This is part of an order I am just finishing for 10 'wacky coloured' Christmas cards! I will show the others when I know the recipient has received them!

Which sketch will you use this week??
Enjoy playing and I'll see you soon! :)

Scalloped Tag Topper Birthday

Good morning!
It's Thursday which must mean a new challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches, and this week it's a colour challenge.

I had to think a little for this one, as I couldn't figure out how to combine the 3 colours without going for my usual favoured stamp sets...Gorgeous Grunge, Petite Petals and Papillon Potpourri! In the end, this is what I came up with...

Ok, yes, I used Petite Petals! What can I say...I'm getting my money's worth out of that wonderful bundle! I also used the Label Love Bundle for the Basic Gray part. I paper pierced the Whisper White panel first, using Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments in Strawberry Slush, then mounted it onto my Crumb Cake panel using Dimensionals.

This wonderful card base is created by taking a piece of card 29.5cm x 10cm, scoring it at 13cm, then punching each end with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, cutting off the bit that's left after punching. Then on the longest side I folded the tab into the card and tied it together with the Crumb Cake Seam Binding.

I really enjoyed making this card...once I had decided on the layering, the rest came together pretty quickly! And I do love the result!

We can't wait to see what you have made, and if you need more inspiration, do go check out the other DT!

One Layer Thank You

Hi everyone!
It occurred to me last night that I haven't entered this week's Less Is More challenge, so I this is my entry. The challenge this week is

One Layer - Thank You

So this super quick card was made by stamping Gorgeous Grunge in Pistachio Pudding, after stamping off first for a subtle effect.

The Swallowtail is stamped in Strawberry Slush and the sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners was also stamped in Pistachio Pudding. The colours are both part of the lovely 2013-2015 In Colours...aren't they lovely and summery?

A whole lot of wonderful!

Hello!
We have a new challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches and this week it's a colour challenge. A nice bright, cheerful colour challenge!

Aren't these lovely colours? I immediately thought of spring, tulips and happiness! I hope my card translates that...

I used the lovely Vivid Vases stamp, new in the Spring/Summer catalogue. I liked this stamp the first time I saw it. I coloured it very simply using my Stampin' Write Markers.

Can you see the shine on the vases? I added some Crystal Effects as I thought it would give them some realism. The strip of Gingham Garden Washi gives the card I little 'zing' don't you think?

My new phone cover!

Hello all!
I got a new phone on Friday, which of course means a new phone cover! So, as I can never find one I like, I have made my own again!

I have used Gorgeous Grunge, Elements of Style and Peachy Keen to pretty up my case. The reason I chose this design is because my phone is kind of my 'lifeline'...it has all my numbers, my lists to organise myself, precious photos and it keeps me in touch with my most favourite people in the world! So, in short, life really is a matter of moments and my phone captures them all!

This is how it looks with the plastic case on it...

The colours I used are Island Indigo, Strawberry Slush and Basic Gray. I chose the colours as I totally love the combo...my favourite I think!
