Helloooo Beautiful You!!

Well hello to you all!
Yes, I admit, it's been a while. A long while in fact! Not to make excuses but life has been somewhat busier over the last year or two, as Keiran now does activities every evening, and that means when I get in there are things that need doing around the house, or I'm just shattered! That on top of all the studying I had been doing and it left me little time for 'myself'!

I have managed to do a little crafting recently though, and I'd like to show you one of my makes, if I may?

As you probably know by now, there is a wonderful stamp set in the Spring/Summer catalogue called Beautiful You, and to be fair, you've probably seen lots of samples using it, but I'm sharing one of mine today anyway! I really love this set...it's just so elegant and versatile!

I decided I would rather like to see this carefree lady dancing under the sun, on a notebook. I used the brilliant new Watercolor Pencils and an Aqua Painter to colour this lovely lady. I do love these pencils! They have bought back my love for colouring!

The pencils are ideal for colouring on more porous mediums as they don't soak in and become difficult to blend like wet ink does, so they were perfect for this notebook with it's slightly rough cover.

I used Kinda Eclectic to add the sun, and see the shimmery sparkle? I created that using my clear Wink Of Stella pen...subtle but effective!

Don't forget that it is Sale-A-Bration until the end of March, which means for every £45 you spend with me, you get to choose a FREE item from the SAB brochure!! That's for EVERY £45!! So there really is no limit to the freebies!

If you would like me to send you a Spring/Summer catalogue and Sale-A-Bration Brochure, free of charge, please just contact me and I will be more than happy to do so!

And if you would like to order any of the items I used today, please click through to my shop over there on the right >>>>>>>>

Right, I'm off to work now, but I hope to be back soon with another lovely project!

Happy Sunday!

A little sunshine....

Hello everyone!
I am here to share with you a card I made 2 nights ago, after receiving some very happy mail from a very thoughtful fellow Demo, Caroline Hallett. I have been going through a tough period over the last 10 months or so, but I have pretty much kept it to myself. It has affected me in ways I never thought it would, such as not really crafting or gardening...pretty much getting by doing things I have to do, rather than want to do. But I have started to try and pull myself out of this slump, and Caroline's little gift gave me a gentle nudge (or great big kick up the bum!) to get back me into my craft room!

She sent me a beautiful, and very unexpected package of the brand new In Colours, so I decided I should make her a card to say 'thank you'. This isn't it! I had intended it to be, but then I wasn't very happy with it, do I have made her another which I will share when she receives it.

I used a sentiment from the sadly retiring Feel Goods, (get it from the retiring sale before it sells out!), the sunburst from Kinda Eclectic, and some of the gorgeous new Peekaboo Peach Washi Tape. I used Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum for the stamping, two of the yummy new In Colours for 2016/17...aren't they lush?? The Sugarplum goes perfectly with our Rich Razzleberry by the way.....

So I hope this will be the first crafty item of many that I will be showing you in the coming days and weeks.

Thank you for bearing with me through my tough period, and thank you to my wonderful customers who have kept me active as a Demo....I am coming back and I am coming back fighting!!

See you soon!

Kinda colourful!

Hello everyone and thank you for joining me today!
I have my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches to show you today, but before I do, let me show you the colours we are working with this week...

I did actually make a card with similar colours earlier this week, not realising they were so close to our challenge! Anyway, here is my DT card...

I have used Kinda Eclectic for my card...it's one of my 'go to' set at the moment. It has everything, don't you think? Butterflies, lovely sentiment, leaves, the sun...

I finished the butterfly by adding a gem that I coloured with a Stampin' Write Marker and set it with some Crystal Effects.

We've had lots of gorgeous entries into last week's sketch challenge...I really think we're going to struggle to pick our favourites this time! We're looking forward to a similar high quality of entries this week!

A sunshiney get well wish.

Good evening!
I know I'm a bit late today, but I didn't get round to crafting last night, so I made today's card this afternoon, especially to enter into a couple of challenges....

Less Is More, where the theme is 'Hello Sunshine', and Freshly Made Sketches....

Here's my sunny card...

I have used Kinda Eclectic again (getting my money's worth!) and stamped the 'sunburst' onto the shaped panel (from Chalk Talk Framelits), then lined it up and stamped onto my card too. I added some Crushed Curry Stitched Satin Ribbon across the panel and mounted it onto the new Delightful Dijon card blank. The shaped panel was popped up on Dimensionals.

I then added a pair of butterflies stamped in Rich Razzleberry onto Vellum, with a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes, also stamped on Vellum. The card is finished with some Candy Dots from the Brights collection.

I have some TV to catch up on tonight, so I'll go now and catch up with you tomorrow with my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches.

A little Kindness...

Good morning!
It's a gorgeous sunny day today, so I am going to share a gorgeous sunny card with you!

I have used another 2 brand new In Colours, and just one stamp set for this card. Kinda Eclectic is the stamp set and I used Delightful Dijon and Cucumber Crush along with Elegant Eggplant.

The Cucumber Crush was 'stamped off' before I stamped it onto my card, just so I had a lighter shade of green. I finished with Basics Rhinestones.

I really love this stamp set...it's one of those that I can use almost all the stamps in the set on one card and still manage CAS!

I'm off to Stampin' Up! regional training in Telford tomorrow, and I'm very excited! I love getting together with fellow demos...so much crafting and fun!

Have a lovely day, and pop back here tomorrow to see the final new In Colour!

Going Green!

Good afternoon!
Today it's time for our new challenge at CAS-Colours and Sketches, and it's Louise's turn to host this month. For her first challenge she has gone all green!

I didn't think I would enjoy using just green (it's not my favourite colour to be honest!) but actually, I found it rather easy to do! As it was only one colour, I just got all my green accessories out, with the inks and paper and played! I rather like my effort...what do you think...

I started by stamping just the widely spaced parts of the sprinkle balloon from Celebrate Today in Pear Pizzazz, then added some retired Washi Tape, some Pear Pizzaz Chevron Ribbon and a strip of Garden Green spotty DSP that I punched first with the Hearts Border Punch.

I then added some Linen Thread and a butterfly stamped from Kinda Eclectic and punched with the Bitty Butterfly Punch. I finished with a large Basics Pearl.

I deliberately left in sentiment free as I think this little card would be suitable for lots of occasions. Oh I should say that this card is really little at only 7.5cm x 10cm...super cute!

We're looking forward to seeing your creations!

A bit of orange...

Good morning!
Today I'm showing you the last card I made on my very productive Wednesday last week...

I have used Kinda Eclectic and Lots Of Thanks. I stamped the sunburst in Tangelo Twist, then die cut it using the Window Frames Framelits. I stamped my sentiment in Basic Grey.

I added my double layered butterfly and finished with a Candy Dot. I know this is an unusual colour combo, but I think I like it!

I am entering my card into a couple of challenges...

I hope your Wednesday is a good one...I will hopefully get some more craft time today! :)

Kinda Eclectic Butterfly Basics

Good morning!
Well I had the most productive day yesterday, despite having 3 boys running riot in my house! Keiran had 2 friends over, and other than the odd squabble, all survived!

So here is one of the cards I managed to make and probably my favourite too!

I combined two of my favourite sets for this...Butterfly Basics and Kinda Eclectic. I heat embossed the 'seal' with gold Stampin' Emboss, and the sunburst is stamped in Gold Encore.

The stripes were stamped by only inking the stamp once, in Blackberry Bliss, to create the ombre effect and the sentiment is Raspberry Ripple. I finished with Gold Bakers Twine, Gold Sequins and a pair of stamped and punched butterflies.

Isn't the colour combo stunning?? I can't take credit to be fair...it comes courtesy of one of the challenges I am entering...

*EDIT* I got chosen as a ColourQ Courtier! :)

Crafting For All Seasons - Dies and/or Punches

I have some other work to do today...I finally signed up to do the Gym Instructor Level 2 so I will be concentrating on that today!

If you would like to order any of the items I have used on my card today, please do get in touch, or you can order direct from my online shop! (the link is just over there >>>>>)

Have a lovely Friday, and don't worry, only the weekend to go then we can send the kids back to school! ;)

Manly Electic!

Hello!
First of all, a very warm welcome to Rachel, my newest follower! Do pop on over to her blog...she is new to blogging so I'm sure she'd love you to visit!

Well how have you been?? It's been a very busy week since I got back from my holiday, what with washing, housework, and the day job!

Anyway, I managed to have a day of crafting and decorating candles today, to put on a stall I am doing towards the end of November, so I shall share some of those over the next week or so.

Today though, I thought I would share with you another card I made whilst on holiday in the caravan. This one is a little more manly, but still uses the Kinda Eclectic stamp set.

I inked up the stamp with Chocolate Chip and Soft Suede Stampin' Write markers and stamped onto my square panel. I then added the four chevrons from the Essentials Wooden Elements.

I inked the edges of my panel with the Chocolate Chip pen, to give an illusion of shadow. I didn't want to raise the panel on dimensionals as I figured there was already enough dimension thanks to the wooden elements!

I made this card just to show that although the stamp set initially looks girly, it doesn't have to be used that way!

I really enjoyed challenging myself to use just one stamp set as it encouraged me to really try and get the most out of it. Why not try it yourself and see how many cards you can make with just one stamp set?

Have a lovely Wednesday...we're off to Sealife, Manchester!

More Kinda Eclectic

Hi everyone!
As I promised yesterday, here is another card I have made using the Kinda Eclectic stamp set.

First of all, I stamped the leaves in Mossy Meadow, stamping off in between each stamping, to give some depth to the colour. I then added a Bermuda Bay butterfly, for which I used the Elegant Butterfly Punch to punch out.

The split sunburst was created by placing a piece of card onto my card blank, then stamping onto the card front, then when the spare card was taken away, there was room for the sentiment!

I finished with a few gems and there it is!

So last night we went to play on the 2p machines and discovered that we could also win prize tickets, which got Keiran very excited! Guess where we're off to now?? ;)
Enjoy the rest of your evening!

It's Kinda Eclectic!

Hello everyone!
Well, although I am back from convention, I am not at home...I am on holiday with my two lovely men at Haven in Filey, N. Yorkshire! It is very blustery today, but we had a lovely day in Scarborough...I haven't been there since I was a little girl! It was very sunny, if windy, and we had a really nice day.

By the way, would you like to see what lovely goodies we each got from convention??
Ok....here you go....

Sooooo much lovely stash!!

So, we came back to the caravan, and while Mike cooked tea, (yup...I had tea cooked for me!), I had a little bit of a crafting session!
Here is one of the cards I have made, using only items I got from convention!

I have only brought this one stamp set with me as I wanted to see what I could do with just the one set! I used each of the 2014/16 In Colours, some Linen Thread, an embellishment from the Essentials Wooden Elements, Bitty Butterfly Punch and my Stampin' Write Markers and Watercolor Pen.

I coloured the wooden embellishement using Hello Honey ink and my Watercolor Pen, so it matched the sun element of the stamp set.

I then picked out the different words in the sentiment using Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow, to reflect sky, the butterfly and grass.

I did actually make 4 cards today...pop back tomorrow to see another version using the same stamp set!

Before i go, here is a very windswept photo of the three of us on Scarborough Promenade!

I think we're off to play on 2p machines now...have a good evening!
