Good morning!
I am here with my 3rd guest DT card for Christmas Challenges {with sketches}, and this week we are sponsored by...

Here is my card...

I've used the very sweet James Bear - Christmas Cracker and coloured him with Promarkers. I added glitter to his hat, the cracker and the edge of the oval, which I cut out using Nestabilities. The papers are Blonde Moments and I finished with some gold stars and ribbon from my stash.

Thinking of my Auntie

Hello again!
Ooh 2 in one day you say? Yup! Been a while since I have done that when neither are DT cards!

This card has a personal touch for me...we have recently found out that one of my Mum's Sisters has lung cancer. So far, the doctors say it's in the very early stages, so they think it's cureable in 3 treatments, but it's still a worrying time for her and her family. So I have made this card to give to her, sometime very soon I hope.

This gorgeous image happened to be released by Krista at Saturated Canary the same week as we heard the news. So it has been coloured in since then, waiting for me to make her into a card! Isn't she a beauty?! I know she is designed for a sad occasion, but I'm sure she will bring much comfort and brightness to many people. She is free btw, just pop on over to Krista's blog to download her for yourself.

I coloured her with Promarkers, backing papers are Wild Rose Studio Butterfly Garden, Prima flowers, and the ribbon & pearls are from my stash. The sentiment is also Wild Rose Studio.

Ok...better get to bed!

Born to Jive!

Good evening!
Here is the last minute commission I was still making at 10pm last night!

The lady that this card is for is a keen Jive dancer, so I Googled an image and found this! The papers are random ones from my stash, no name I'm afraid. And that's about it!

And that's all for tonight! :)

Good Luck in Peru!

Good evening!
We have had a wonderful day at Knowsley Safari park! Apart from Keiran falling and having to go to hospital, bless him! He banged his head really hard falling up some steps and had to go to the hospital to get checked out. Luckily, he's absolutely fine, and the staff at Knowsley were fantastic, as were the paramedics and hospital staff! We got given free tickets to go back again, too, and they've even said that Keiran can meet one of the sealions next time, as he missed out on seeing the show! How fab is that?!

Anyway, time for a card. I got a text late Saturday night for an emergency commission for 4 good luck cards for 4 ladies who are heading off to Peru to do the Inca Trail for a local children's charity. So here's what I came up with in a hurry yesterday...

I remembered that Paddington Bear is from Peru so I thought he would be the perfect good luck charm for the intrepid ladies! So I 'Googled' Paddington colouring pages and found this adorable image of our beloved bear on a hike...how perfect! I coloured him with Promarkers and cut him out. I created a cloud and grass background, added a tiny Peruvian flag to half a cocktail stick, a sentiment and some gems and voila!

Challenges

Right...another rush order to make now, then bed I think! :)

3 shades of green

Good morning LIMettes!
Yes I'm back bright and early lol!
This week at Less Is More, the challenge is

My first thought was 'oh!' as I didn't think I had a lot of green....turns out I have!

I used a scrap piece of green card and stamped a Stampin Up! Paisley Petals stamp in Old Olive Stampin Write Marker to create a background. I also inked the edges a little for definition. I then added this tiny piece of green ribbon (the only bit of it I have!) and added a large green pearl. The sentiment is from Happiest Birthday Wishes and is stamped in River Rock.

I'm off to set up my market stall now, then some crafting with Jen this afternoon! :)
Happy Easter!!

Yee Ha! Happy Birthday!!

Howdy y'all!
I'm here with another commission card tonight...

This is for another of my regular customers, for her Mum's birthday. The image is the new Dottie 2 Step from Bugaboo, and for the first time ever, I have paper pieced her! Now I've seen Jen do it loads and never plucked up the courage to do it before, but now I'm really glad I did! It's so easy, and it makes it easier to match your backing papers too as you just use the same ones you've used to paper piece it! I shall definitely be using this technique again! :)
The papers, by the way, are all from Pixel Scrapper. I only used my Promarkers for her hair and skin.

I am entering this into Tuesday Morning Sketches #140 and that's all because I'm too tired to root around looking for more challenges tonight!Hope you all have a fab Easter with lots of crafting! I shall mostly be working!
