A LIM Anniversary

Good morning!
And it's another Less is More Saturday!
I'm off work today and planning on going to the Manchester Christmas markets with my good friend Elaine later on.
But before that, I've made this (not so) little card to show you...

This is an A5 tent fold card made from an A3 piece. The theme this week at Less Is More is Anniversary, and the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches was just right for it!
I have used a style that Jen has used a few times recently, with the random pearls, and I've really loved seeing it, so I thought I would give it a go, and again, it worked perfectly with this sketch.
I am also entering this into CASual Friday - Even The Score.

Stampin' Up supplies used:
Stamp - Confetti
Markers - Regal Rose, Pool Party
Card - Whisper White, Melon Mambo

Sketch Saturday #238

Hello!
It's Sketch Saturday time and this week we are sponsored by

The card I have made is for a commission order, and has already been received...the customer was delighted!

The image is Sandra's Graduation from Sassy Studio Designs and I coloured her in the requested colours using Promarkers. The Embossed panels are Stampin' Up! and the ribbon was from my stash.

We'd love to see what you come up with this time...come on and have a play!

Stockings in a row

Here is my last card for Less Is More's 'In a Row' challenge this week...
I embossed the line so the stockings had something to 'hang' off and I was going to leave it at that, but then I thought another line would look better...
Which do you think looks better?

Here is a photo of the little bit of glitter I added to liven up the monochrome card.
I have really been inspired by the Scandinavian red and white style this year, as you may well have noticed from some of my previous cards recently! I stamped this using Real Red Stampin' Up! ink.

Ok, so maybe it's time to get to work lol!

Hello!

Evening!
I have just made a card, and seriously, I don't think there could be more 'white space' on it if I tried!

This is probably the simplest card I have ever made lol!

Stampin' Up! Products used
Stamps - Posy Punch
Markers - Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party, Soft Suede

A simple Birthday

Hello and good evening!
I had a day off blogging...not crafting, but I was kind of finishing cards and things...nothing exciting to show you! However, I did place a stupendous Stampin' Up! order and got TONNES of free stuff so I am going to be looking out for the postman, and I can't wait to get crafting and to show you all! Oh, and, I may have some new products to show too! Oooh are you as excited as me? Good! Keep an eye on my blog then! ;)

Ok so for tonight, I have this little card to show you that I've made...
I have used my favourite stamping technique again of inking up my stamps with different colour markers. I masked off the background strip before stamping, then I embossed 2 lines for a bit of definition.
After stamping and punching the flowers I curled them with a curling tool for more definition before layering. The panel behind the sentiment was simply white card coloured with a marker. I finished with a few tiny gems and a yellow brad.

Stampin' Up! products used:

Stamps
Confetti, Triple Treat Flower, Happiest Birthday Wishes
Stampin' Write Markers
Daffodil Delight, Bashful Blue, Pacific Point, Basic Black
Punches
Word Window, Fancy Flower
Embellishments
Brights Brads

I shall hopefully see you tomorrow!

Our Homemade Advent Calendar!

Hi there!
I hope you are well?
I'm here to show you the Advent Calendar I finished a couple of weeks ago, but only just realised I haven't blogged it!

This was quite a mission I have to say, but I did enjoy making it, even if it did take almost a week!

I got the instructions from Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. I love it, as does my son, especially now that it is filled with 'Squinkies' (don't ask lol!)

I used freebie papers (Snowed In by My Mind's Eye), also from CM&P, and lots of white card, and some brads from my stash....that's about it really! Oh and some glitter and gems.

Challenges

Oh, a funny little story about this 'magic box'...when I was assembling it, Keiran kept putting things into the drawers and I kept turning it to add new drawers, when he wasn't looking. Then he would look in the drawers and his things had disappeared! Then I would turn it back and they would return! He was convinced it was actually magic and it didn't occur to him that the box had turned! He even commented that not only had his things disappeared, but the handles had changed lol! Bless him! I haven't told him...he still thinks it's magic!

Glad I've got this blogged...gonna email CM&P now see if they want it for their magazine! :)

Simply 'in a row'

Ooooh Monday morning....my favourite...not! On the upside, only one more of them then it'll be Christmas Eve!
So I guess you'll be expecting a Christmas card then? Well you'd be right!

This fab stamp was a cheapy from Hobbycraft which I stamped using Pool Party, Primrose Petals and Gumball Green Stampin' Up! markers. I embossed two lines and finished with some Real Red stitched Gross Grain ribbon and 3 tiny gems. The card blank, by the way, is scrap from making an 8x8 card blank out of an A3 piece of card.

I am entering this into Less Is More's 'In A Row' challenge and Fab Friday's colour challenge

If you would like me to order the Stampin' Up! markers, ribbon or indeed anything else, please contact me on 07915 698577 or email me at lizyshouseofcards@mail.com
I also have a Stampers 6 club starting in January and there are a couple of spaces left. For more information take a look here

Work it is....oh such a busy week this week...hope I get as much time to craft as I need!
Happy Monday!
