Sketch Saturday #268

Good morning Sketch Saturday fans!
It's time for our new sketch and it's a lovely Clean and Simple sketch for you. Here is my interpretation.

I needed a 70th birthday card for a commission order for someone who loves steam trains. Good old Google images came good again! Teamed with Stampin' Up! paper and button it makes for a very elegant 'man card'!

Here is Jen's fab sketch for you to work with

So come on, let's see your gorgeous creations!

A B&W Wedding Card with NO stamping!

Good morning!
Well, as promised, here is one of the commission cards I have been working on...

I made a card, box and matching money wallet for this one.

I made a cake out of embossed paper using the gorgeous but retired Elegant Lines EF. The border punch is Scallop Trim and the sentiment is cut out using one of the framelits from the Chalk Talk set.

Thank You Chalkboards for Teachers

Hello!
Well, after a really busy week I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!
One of the reasons I was so busy is because it is the last week of school, so a teacher thank you cards were needed! Keiran's class in Reception has 2 fab teachers and 2 great teaching assistants, so I thought they should have special cards.

I have seen lots of little chalkboard easel style cards, so I thought I would have a go at one...

...or four!

I wrote the teachers' names on the back of each card with chalk, then to fix it, I sprayed them with hairspray.

The wood effect was made using the woodgrain stamp, and each vertical strip is 1.5cm wide by 14cm long, the horizontal strips are 1.5cm by 7cm. The black card base starts out as an A6 tent fold.

I stamped my sentiment using Vintage Verses (SAB, retired) and Sweet Essentials with a Whisper White Craft pad. The little tags are created using various punches, washi tape and a cheeky monkey stamp!

Supplies
Cardstock - Basic Black, Crumb Cake
Stamps - Vintage Verses, Zoo Babies, Sweet Essentials, Woodgrain Background Stamp
Ink - Basic Black, Whisper White
Punches/Dies - Chalkboard Framelits, Jewellery Tag, Petite Curly Label
Ribbon - Stitched Grossgrain, Linen Thread
Other - Gingham Garden Washi Tape

More Mosaic Madness!

Hello all!
I've had another busy night making cards...got another 2 out of the way....you will get to see them soon, I promise!

For now though, here are the little 4x4in cards I made for my Stampers 6 ladies this month. I only have 4 to show you as 2 of them were packed up before I realised I hadn't photographed them!

I have used the Mosaic Madness stamps and punch again, which you can purchase in a bundle, saving you 15% on buying them separately...bargain! :)

I have used Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Melon Mambo and Crumb cake for my card.

I am going to quickly link this card up to Colour Throwdown as it ends in 4 hours...gosh is it almost 1am?? Ouch!

Ok, time for bed!
Night!

Mosaic Madness!

Hello all!
This is going to be a quick post today as it is almost midnight as I type and schedule this post...I have been working on some commission cards tonight, sadly none that I can show just yet.

But here is a couple of very simple little cards I made to pop into a couple of parcels this week...

I used Mosaic Madness stamp set, matching punch and embossing folder. The stamping was done in Strawberry Slush and Pistachio Pudding. I put the punched out shape in a different place on each...

Which do you think looks better?
(I have no idea why the bottom picture is this colour...they're both the same!)

If you would like to order any of the products I have used, or any of the other fabulous new products, please do contact me and I will be very happy to place your order for you.

No challenges today, for a change!

Right, have a lovely day and I shall hopefully have something more interesting tomorrow for you!

Best of Butterflies and Flower Garden

Hello and happy Monday to you all!
Wow I am busy with orders this week! I shall try and blog them all when I can.

Here is one of them...
This card is for a returning customer who has so far had 6 cards off me...it's nice to have customers coming back time and again :)

I have used a lot of die cutting and punching on this card - Ovals Framelits, Bigz Alphabet Typeset, Adorning Accents Edgelits, Pansy Punch, plus Lacy Brocade embossing folder - my Big Shot sure has been put through it's paces today!

The lovely Blushing Bride flowers are from the new Flower Garden stamp set, and the butterfly is from the stunning Best Of Butterflies.

I stamped my butterfly onto vellum for a soft, fluttery look.

Supplies
Stamps - Flower Garden, Best Of Butteflies
Ink - Blushing Bride, Pool Party
Dies/Punches - Ovals Framelits, Bigz Alphabet Typeset, Adorning Accents Edgelits, Pansy Punch
