Well hello to you all on this lovely Wednesday...wish I knew it was going to be so nice before I had a shower...I would've been in the garden instead! Oh well...I still needed to get a couple of orders completed so now they are done, I can try to enter some more challenges.
Before I do though, I wanted to share a card I made for my friend's lovely Mum for her Birthday last Monday. Obviously, I couldn't post it on here until I knew she had received it in case she saw it!
It is made from an A3 piece of card made into a A4 gatefold card blank. I printed the image from Debbi Moore's Majestic Christmas cd as an A5 image. (which goes to show that a Christmas CD-ROM is not just for Christmas!) I printed the image 4 times and decoupaged it all up, added glitter and mounted it onto black mirror card. The panels were made using black and blue mirror card, and I cut the card blank corners to match. The font is Hill House and I finished with some black gems from Dunelm Mill.
Inside I used the frame of the image I had spare from decoupaging as a focal point inside the card, as you can see in the picture above.
It was a fiddly card to make but it would be easier to do a second time as I now know the pitfalls!
I love this card..it really is a stunner in real life!
Thanks for looking!

If the shoe fits...
Greetings!
After making the dresses card yesterday, I decided a red shoe would be great for the LIM A Touch Of Red Challenge. So here's what I came up with...
Ok so the shoe isn't red! I eventually decided that would be too much so I made a black glittery shoe, using the same cd as the dresses card, added a Club Green ribbon (it was a tiny 3inch piece of ribbon that tied using my ribbon tying gadget from Joy...no waste!) and finished with 3 tiny red gems.
The sentiment is the same as used for the dresses, printed directly onto the card blank again.
When I mounted the shoe to the card, I used silicone and used extra to raise the top of the shoe to really give it a 3d effect. tried to get it on the photo...dunno if you can tell.
Thanks for looking today. I really hope to be entering some different challenges this week, once these 3 cross stitch cards are finished...2 down, 1 to go!

So many dresses...
Morning everyone!
I woke to glorious sunshine this morning, only for it to quickly turn into a wet day. I guess I'll have to dry the washing indoors now! So it gives me the perfect excuse to get some crafting in...yay! :)
I have almost finished one of the cross stitch cards I need for orders...working on the other. But I also woke with an idea for the Less is More A Touch Of Red challenge again. Here it is...
The image is from Debbi Moore and Payper Box's Swing Template CD. All I did was glitter the gresses and mount onto red card, then the card blank. The text is Alpha Romanie G98 which I printed directly onto the card blank. Finished with a couple of gems, I'm very pleased with the result! :)
Hope everyone is having a good Monday...I'm of to do some more stitching!

Plushie the Pony
Hello everyone and Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful Mum's out there!
I've had a hectic day at work, followed by a very yummy dinner cooked by my Keiran's Daddy for myself and his Mum and he did a pretty good job actually... the sticky toffe pud was to die for!
Anyway, complete with a (very large) baileys, I am posting a card I have made for a very special little girl's birthday!
The image is Plushie the Pony from Pixie Dust Studio. I have coloured her with Promarkers and then cut out 2 hearts with Nesties, which I haeve also coloured with Promarkers, then finished with glitter. The background paper is just so pink card from my scraps box embossed with Swiss Dots, and the ribbon is from my stash. The text is Cheri Liney, printed direct onto the card. I finishe the card with some of the new flowery Card Candi.
Hope you like it...I am entering it into the CES Children challenge #30
Thanks for looking!

Ruby Wedding...A touch of red!
Good morning!
Yay it's Saturday! That means it's time for the Less is More challenge for this week which is A Touch Of Red! Here is my entry...it's a ruby wedding card I have made to sell on my stall this morning at Holland's Garden Centre, Bolton.
The text (Scriptina) has been foiled on Jen's foiling machine, the flourishes are Sizzix and the flowers are Hobbycraft. I hope you like it!
I am posting this entry from a somewhat chilly, breezy market stall on my phone so I will tweak it when I get home!

*Edit* Hey thank you all for your wonderful comments on my card! I had a wonderful day at the market, and did fairly well on sales, though sadly this card is still with me... it will sell one day! I have, however, sold many of the cards I made thanks to this blog...the Glittery Butterfly, The Guitar one, and a couple of others I can't think of right now.
Ok after a long day of market, then work, I am settled with my glass of wine so I'm off to blog hop and comment now...

A Birthday gift card
Morning everyone and Happy April Fools Day! Has anyone fallen for anything daft yet today? I've not seen the news so I don't know what this year's joke is...
Well it is Friday so I thought I'd have one last go at the Less Is More Sketch Challenge for this week. I have, so far, created 3 different versions of the sketch, so here is the 4th. This one is rotated and flipped!
The flower is one of Mei Flower's designs that I learnt in Harrogate and thought I would give it a try myself. It is technically easy to do, just quite fiddly! I have mounted this flower into a brooch mount and mounted it to the card using a sticky pad...that way it can be taken off and worn! The sentiment is free from a random mag ages ago and it's printed in silver Encore ink.
Hope you like...now off to finish cross stitching this card...
