One Layer - The Open Sea!

Good morning LIMettes!

I had to laugh last week at the amount of people who asked me to share my secret of getting my entry into the Less Is More challenges so early! To be honest, I just think fast in a morning, I think because I am usually trying to get myself and a reluctant 5yr old ready for school/work or whatever, and Saturday mornings are the one morning I don't often have to do that as he's at his Dad's or Nana's, but I am still raring to go!

I have usually had my shower, breakfast and got dressed before 8am and I am usually to be found refreshing my laptop at that time and looking round my craft room for inspiration! Oh, and I often type the useless waffle up the night before, like I am now lol!

Then when the challenge is released, I'm ready to go!

So this week's challenge is...

Use a Coloured Card Blank

Ouch! Knowing Jen, this was her choice as she loves using coloured card blanks lol! Well, I have started to use them more but it's a bit tougher for one layer!

Anyway, here is my card...

For this one, I stamped the ship onto my Marina Mist card blank first, using Island Indigo and Early Espresso inks, then masked it off before stamping the 'log' and anchor in Not Quite Navy. I stamped those off onto plain paper first for a more subtle effect. I finished with an Anchor inside the card and the sentiment.

I quite like this nautical stamp set and the different styles of stamps you can get from it!

Supplies
Cardstock - Marina Mist
Stamps - The Open Sea, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Not Quite Navy, Early Espresso, Island Indigo

  8. Lovely card Lizy. Looks great in blue. I've never been into ship images very much but some of my friends are as they live in the fishing port of Peterhead and having fishing connections.

Sorry I'm a bit slow getting around to commenting this week as I've been on grandchildren duty since last Thursday!
    Thanks so much
