Good morning!
Are you enjoying the bank holiday and the extra day off work? I am!
I do have a card for you that I made Saturday night to fit in with the Less Is More colour challenge this week...
If you remember from my post on Saturday, the challenge is to use two opposite colours on the colour wheel...
For this one I have used Yellow-Green and Violet-Red (Old Olive & Rich Razzleberry)
I really love this buttefly set, in particular this traditional looking butterfly, from the Papillon Potpourri stamps...so elegant!
I was inspired somewhat by Rebecca's card here. I had already chosen my colours, stamps and paper, but was going in a totally different way with my layout until I saw her card...isn't it gorgeous??
Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Papillon Potpourri, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry
Designer Series Paper - Brights
Punches - Elegant Butterfly, Bitty Butterfly
Die - Apothecary Accents

ReplyDeleteGorgeous Lizy. Love how you've used that die to make an aperture. Great colour combo and I think those are my favourite ever butterflies.
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying having a day off too. Haven't achieved much craft-wise yet but I have done most of the baking for WRI teas on Wednesday so I haven't been totally idle lol!

One of my favorite color combos along with my favorites, butterflies. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteHi, Lizy,
ReplyDeleteThis is a very powerful design, not only because of the strong colors, but also because of the simplicity of the design. The eye is guided in a very subtle manner to that amazing die cut, and yet the butterflies still hold their own as a point of interest! Very nicely designed and executed. Thanks for dropping this off by our house at 613 Avenue Create!
